Illustration
These drawings may seem like a departure from our usual experimental style over here at Anthem, but I have absolutely loved working on these. I began attending life drawing evening sessions when I was 15 years old, and have always had a special place in my heart for figure drawing.
I did some quick sketches of yoga poses and muscles for Dr Carla Cupido of Baseline Health for her series of e-books, and here is also a set of more finished drawings for a different client and their first aid guide.
I wanted to share these, just in case more of you out there are in need of some sketches or illustrations. Kindly get in touch via the contact page, and I’d be happy to draw you something!

For a collage artist, this is one of the best projects that can arrive at the door… great images and the freedom to make something experimental.
This is brand new, not even on the website yet, but is the new page for Vince Hempsall of Wonow Media. Vince is an extremely talented writer, athlete, and all round great guy. Stay tuned for the live version.
… oh and if you’re a band, writer, illustrator, extreme sports company owner, or lover of collaged artwork, give Anthem a call. We love these projects.
I have just begun a drawing adventure with my very talented friend Claire. A decade ago we shared a group studio at art school, and the drawing continues.
As an interactive business owner, I spend an unhealthy amount of time searching the web for all that is new, interesting, experimental, and beautiful. Plenty falls into these categories, right alongside a scary amount of total garbage.
I always love to see little experiments and artists sharing their work on the web. It’s a treasure to stumble on a site that is there just for fun, and not for selling something. Claire and I decided that we would like to create our own, in this vein.
The site is under construction at this moment, but I will be posting updates here about our adventures in drawing. You can keep an eye on what we’re up to at: thedrawingstory.com.
A few months ago I posted a list of some of my favorite illustrators and designers. { Click here to see it. } I have added a couple of posts since then, and would like to share the website of another amazing illustrator: Tina Zellmer. Her drawings are beautifully layered, multi-dimensional, and seem to tell a hundred stories within one image. In addition to the wonderful illustrations, I also love her website – black, white and some lovely tiny handmade accents. Extremely inspiring.

Have you ever had the feeling of seeing something – insert here any genre/interest/etc. – that made you want to try harder, be better, and get closer to your dream because of this person/place/thing that has just inspired you? I have quite a list of people/places/things that brings up this feeling, and would like to share with one of those people with you today.
His name is Gabriel Moreno, a Spanish illustrator, and his work greatly inspires me. I have contacted all of the people I have written about on this website to ask permission to post images (as I dislike when I find my own work in places I haven’t given a nod towards), but having just emailed Gabriel today, I will hold off on posting any of his artwork… so go see for yourself: www.gabrielmoreno.com, and hopefully I’ll be able to share some images here with you soon. Enjoy!
